Bunk & Brew

Logo Redesign

I redesigned the logo for the Bunk and Brew hotel in Bend, OR, as a conceptual exercise for a graphic design class.
I noticed during my last stay at the Bunk & Brew that their logo was a bit outdated, and I redesigned it to appeal to their young, outdoorsy clientele, while maintaining the funky and loose energy of the original logo.

First Round of Designs

I wanted to evoke both the rustic and fun-loving sides of the Bunk and Brew, and I tried a variety of fonts and print-effects to achieve this. I tried a few designs, using printed and stamped looking fonts to evoke the original logo font, as well as the drink rings that evoke the “brew” part of the Bunk and Brew

Second Round of Designs

I liked Benjamin Franklin as the main font for the logo. Its bold and readable, as well as rustic, but it is more contemporary-feeling and trendy than the comic-sans-ish font that the original logo features.

I liked the containment of the drink rings, but wanted to try a few other options, and implemented a bottlecap graphic.
